How often should I dose? I have a 60 gallon and do a gallon water change every other day. I am slowly watching my receipt in over the past two months my phosphates are at .11 with my nitrate at 17. It sits in about 90-100 par with medium flow. I have struggled with these dang things for years and watch others with less maintenance and care thrive with them than what I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did a ICP test and it was a little low. Put in 4 drop and wondering if that’s enough? And how often should I dose this stuff

What brand of product/manganese specifically?

Curious how large of water changes are you doing? And why every other day?

It's my experience that Goniopora did well in my tank when nutrient levels were slightly higher. GonioPower worked well as a supplement.

Some types of aquacultured Goniopora do noticeable better than wild or maricultured pieces.

The topic would probably receive more replys in the Chemistry Forum.

Another question is how many do you have? One frag? Multiple colonies ? Manganese isn’t the magic secret. I have had 25+ Goni and some were large, and icp came back and manganese was zero.

I’m not saying it doesn’t help, or not to dose it. But it may not be the missing key.

I’ve noticed this as well. After buying many Goni from several sources / vendors it soon became clear which ones are easy and which ones will have a rough chance at long term success. Wild is the worst. Maricultured better but still risky. Aquacultured has highest success

Literally a few weeks ago I bought a maricultured colony. Looked great in the pic. It arrived closed as expected. And after a week it still had not opened. By week 2 it was still closed. By week 3 it was deteriorated. Never even got to see it open in my tank. And it is a lps tank with other gonis, and everything is fine with the tank.

I always say, the success of a goni is 75% determined by its life before it arrived in your tank.

Only a gallon every other day. For trace elements and balance. Instead of doing one big water change a week. I have a automatic water changer so it makes it really easy

Do you grow macro algae? Cheeto?
These will compete and contribute for consumption of manganese
