So I've heard this coral can be relatively easy, but then sometimes they just die out of nowhere. If anybody has any care tips I (and probably some other reefers) Would appreciate some.

I have 8 different Gonis, and they are all different. Some like higher light, higher flow, some like it less, some like it medium. Biggest advice I can give you, is place it in 1 spot, give it 2-3 days and see if it extends out nicely. If it doesn't, move it. Always start at the bottom, with lower flow, then move up into higher par and higher flow as needed. Most gonis I've found like lower to medium light, with low flow.

They aren't easy, but when you have the right parameters, they thrive.
I only have one, but it's really large, and i had it since it was a baby frag.
I feed it reef roids once a week, keep it in lower light and i even have weak orbit pro lights, and medium to high(indirect) flow and it loves it. It's big enough for my clown to host, albeit, it shrinks up a little when the jerk is in there. Otherwise its bigger then my 9 inch sailfin.
