Good Morning!

Well I need a root canal on one side of my mouth and an appointment with an ENT for a biopsy on the other for something that came up Friday between my teeth and my tonsils on the inside of my jawbone. My PCP looked at it and had no idea. The tooth is 730 am tomorrow. I don't know if Dr Muto will do it or send me somewhere.

Hap hap happy here.
When Earnest is constipated no one is happy anyway. Even crap that doesn't come out rolls downhill.

So I just put
good morning
sigh

Good Morning! I decided to make the trip to a store about an hour away to see what corals they had after they said that they had over 50 tanks of fish and coral on the phone. This is the store. No joke. I don't think I will be going back.

Good morning! Nashville son/family are coming tomorrow for the weekend. I don't know who will be more exhausted when they leave....me or the new pup! She's in for an adventure. The 3-year-old CAN'T WAIT to meet Kenzie. Poor Kenzie. :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:

I'm going to try to talk our son into helping me replace the return pump on the 90. I've had the replacement for a while, but I need some muscle to help with the tubing. The pump still works fine, but I feel like I'm pushing my luck. The original pump is going on 9 years old. I've replaced everything in the last few years except for the skimmer and the return pump. I'm going to keep it as an emergency backup.

When you take a pump out of saltwater and store it the bearings will seize quite often. Most have ceramic bearings on ceramic shafts. To free them place the impellor/shaft in a cup of hot tap water and try to twist them to free them. A little acid/vinegar will help. You have to dissolve the salt and carbonates that formed when it dried out that are between the shaft and bearings.

good morning all... :)

Late good morning! Everything went great with Kenzie and the Nashville family. She adores little kids. The 3-year-old wasn't too fond of her sloppy kisses, but he's the perfect height for a direct hit. Everyone is in their "crate" for a nap now. :D It's quiet around here, but not for long! :)

Good morning
Being busy, I didn't notice my LaCl dosing was wrong. So while my nitrate reactor was quietly trickling away in the fish room and has reduced them down to 4 my phos was going ever higher.
So cyano. Lots.
Yesterday a typhoon hit the tank.
I placed one Maxijet with a venturi blowing air in the tank while I blasted the bottom with another raising great columns of goo into the water. It was so dirty nothing could be seen. I placed wavemakers in the sump to keep all the dirt flowing around. The skimmers caught it all and dumped it into my bucket
Uncovered a really big peanut worm.
All the bubbles stick to stuff and lifted the dirt to the overflows. I think it has been 2 years since I did any sand cleaning.

Today all gone and water is clear again. I wish I had a bigger external skimmer.

Kalk stirrers are a giant pain so it's getting converted to something I can make 22 gallons of saturated Kalk in and straight up dose it run by a Hydros X3 I just ordered. That will tell me when it's full and empty and the pH inside.
This morning I unplugged my dosing tube and the pH went from 8.08 to 8.27 in a few minutes.

I think another typhoon is coming in a few days
