Good Morning!

Good morning. My bluebirds have 4 babies again. This is their 3 brood for this year. I missed when the last batch fledged cause I was on vacation. As recommended, I usually clean out the nest box after each brood but they had already started laying eggs on top of old nest by the time I got back home. This is the first year of being a successful bluebird landlord.

Good morning
Perhaps it is a sign when you go and there are only two trucks on the lot for this month. One was sold already.
The other was exactly the color and options I wanted,

so it followed me home.
Our power was out again. I looked. The generator has powered the house 76 hours this year.
I am really glad we got the thing.
We are naming the new dog Paddington (Bear). The new truck is the Paddy Wagon.
Shut up Jeanna. Paddington is nothing like Bear. It is a nice non scary unintimidating name for a large dog.
We got the travel carrier for the trip and 40 pounds of large breed puppy food yesterday. *9+88888888888888888888

I won’t be going here anytime soon

  • Jul 6, 2015 (Yes this was an old post. What can I say? I ran out of things to say)
I don't have the nicest tank on here.
I don't have the nicest of a lot of things, but I don't care because they are nice enough for me.
I don't have the most difficult corals on here, but it is not my purpose to have that.
I don't have the most interesting fish on here, but they are interesting enough for me.
I have no ideas what my parameters are. I assume my corals know and they seem fine.
I don't have any controllers or dosers. Don't want any.
I don't have any test kits. If I want something tested, I take It to a LFS. They like doing that.
I don't have the largest tank on here. It's a perfect size for me.
My lights are way underpowered. I don't care and so far, neither do the corals.
I don't have a sump. I would, but they were not invented in the 70s
I don't use any reactors, GFO, GAC, ABC, Doh Ray Me, or bio pellets.
I don't use Rowafas.
Don't have a DSB, SSB, or BB.
I don't use Purple Up, Marine Snow or almost anything else and I don't want to.
I have to many fish, they don't seem to mind the crowd.
I have to many Pod eaters, they send out for Pizza.
I am jealous of some tanks on here, but I will get over it.
I don't have the most hair and I am far from the best looking on here. My wife likes me.
I don't change much water, but I assume I change enough.
I have plenty of iron and stainless steel in my tank. Is that scary to anyone?
I sometimes feed my fish Plaster of Paris with some minerals mixed in. Am I bad?
I used copper for years in my tank and never changed the rocks or gravel.
I have never dated a Supermodel but I did date some beautiful girls. Also some plainer ones.
I use dolomite for the substrait, ever heard of that?
My wireing is probably some of the sloppiest on here. And I am an electrician.
I am impressed by some of the skill on here with spawning hard fish.
I am impressed by creativity, but not by degrees unless they are on a thermometer.
Right now I am embarassed to say I have a fever, which is a Sissy disease and I may have to revoke my Man card. Fevers are so yesterday and Sissy Mary like. Maybe I am halucinating which is why I wrote this useless thread.
I am finished, and I am old, There is no purpose to this post that I know of. :fun2:

Its a hobby, enjoy it for yourself, no one else

I’ve started investing in stocks. First, it was chicken, then beef, and now I just bought vegetable. Despite the potential risks, I believe that one day I’ll be a boullionaire

Good morning
@Paul B - Suck it up - I never cared what other people think or want except my wife. She earned it. When you go among a herd you will hear lot's of mooing.
Ha, my tank is bigger than yours
But it's because that is what I want and I don't think you could keep a large angel in a smaller one.
I wanted 2 but that failed and it was a bad idea on my part.
Not because I need a prop for my ego on the internet.
I have beautiful pictures of my tank. But it hardly ever looks that way cause life.
I keep the things I have, fish, dogs, cats, birds, plants because I like them. I planted another pineapple top today. Another multiyear commitment.

After much planning and scheming we are going to Duck NC on Sunday with our sons families while Earnest is going to his house to attend the Emery Family reunion. His niece will be staying with him there. I have to pick Jill up at Morgantown tomorrow leaving her car there.
On Friday we will travel to eastern Pa from NC and spend the night . Saturday at 9am we will choose a puppy and then head for Morgantown. Jill will go get Earnest to bring him back here while I bring the puppy home.

I am excited. Much to do.

Good morning. Went to get my permanent crown on yesterday. Dentist said it won’t take long just pop the temp off and stick the new one in. Yeah right. They couldn’t get the temp off. That sucker was cemented on for life. They finally had to numb me and drill the temp off. So now my tooth is throbbing and hurting like heck again. I really really dislike going to the dentist. Once the ibuprofen kicks in I’m planning on doing a water change today.

Good morning! Two more hours until I'm done with work for the week. Had the "talk" with the boss again. Goal is still part time (as in 20 hours per week or less) by the end of January or no time....it's their choice. At least it gives me a goal.

Facts about my tanks:
- I never do water changes on the 90. I've rarely done water changes in almost 14 years now (not quite as many tank years as @Paul B). I do occasional water changes on the BioCube mainly because it's a little tank and is less forgiving.
- I picked a 90 for my upgrade in 2013 because it was the right size for my wall.
- Both tanks are in my office and I'm constantly distracted by them. :D
- I have an ATO on both tanks because I'm lazy.
- I use a few additives, but not on a schedule....more of a little of this and a little of that.
- I'm the human calcium doser. I dump the calcium once a day when the fish eat. My corals don't seem to mind. I used to have a calcium doser, but I seem to be more reliable than the doser.
- I test alk and calcium about once per month on the 90. I have no idea what the parameters are in the BioCube. It only has zoanthids, a cleaner shrimp, and the possum wrasse. I think zoanthids will grow in just about anything, the shrimp only cares about what I throw in the tank in the evening, and the possum wrasse mostly just cares about pods.
- I'm terrible about updating my build thread. In fact, I may have to copy this over just to say I've added a post!

Have a great day. :) @WVNed, I can't wait to see pictures of the pup!
