Good morning -
Finally, an overcast and rainy day in south Florida, seriously, makes it feel a little like winter.

I’m looking forward to tank maintenance for most of today...while wondering if my ss is doing some last minute shopping. ;Joyful

Good morning everyone! So my brother-in-law finally made up to my wife yesterday after months of being rather silly (long story not going into about money and I was staying out of it much as I could). Anyhow, now him and his wife are coming over Christmas Eve to play Euchre and nosh on snacks. My wife is much, much happier now (she practically raised him). You have to love the Christmas season for bringing families together.

Quick viewing recommendation: "Repair Shop" on Netflix. It's a British show about repairing all sorts of family and personal treasures. It's like a reality show in the US, except no teenagers, no ones fighting about anything, there's no manufactured drama and no loud anything. Just 30 minutes of watching skilled artisans at work and making people very happy.

Left right away after morning meeting and officially off until next Monday. Go in to do paper work Next Thursday, then 5 more days off again until 1/7/20

This is the first time in 20-30 years (maybe more) that I have taken all off Christmas week off. I have always tried to be part of the skeleton crew and let others enjoy there time with family and friends (while I enjoyed getting things done with far fewer distractions). For all of those that are working this holiday - please know that I am cheering for you and wishing you the best throughout the holidays!

So it's that time of year when I get phone calls when my wife is out...and naturally, I was in the middle of my weekly tank maintenance that I do every month.

Ring...I answer..."Hey hon, busy with tank, whatcha need?"

Wife: "Honey, I found this...."
Me: "How much do you need, honey?"
Wife: "and I was thinking the grand kids could use more..."
Me: "How much do you need, hon?"
Wife: "And it's really not that much..."
Me: "How much do you need?"
Me: "And we were going to get some stuff anyway..."
Me: "How much do you need? In dollars?"
Wife: "No need to yell"

Long pause

Wife: "$50"
Me: "<sigh>....sure hon, no problem"
Wife: "maybe $100?"
Me: "uh huh, that's fine too, honey"
Wife: "no more than $200-$300 tops"

Long pause

Me: "Can you bring home some burgers?"
Wife: "Sure hon! Love ya, bye"

Getting my privates pilot’s license really drilled “never trust the previous person” and vehicle inspection into my brain. I had to drive my sister’s car..... and ewwww. Not going on the highway like that LOL.

Getting the tire changed. Won’t make it to the fish store :( . Happy friggin Monday
