because Saharan sand storm is heading our way?

With everything that has happened during the last couple of months I'm not ruling anything out!

Good morning
Perhaps I need to quit coming here. I read stuff and it gives me ideas. Sooner or later I am going to get in trouble.
I read a thread about a really big skimmer. I don't have one but,
I have 2 medium-sized ones. Oh, why not. It's just bubbly water.

Bit of a redesign. These stock tanks sure hold a lot of stuff.

My tank has cyano. I must have caused it by turning down my lights, stopping Nopox, reducing my phosphates with a GFO reactor and turning up the flow.

All the things you are supposed to do to keep it away.
Plus I only have it in 1 of the 3 tanks. Last time the other 2 had it and this one didn't.

I often wonder if reef tanks warp space and operate on their own special physical laws. Doing things logically doesn't seem to work well.

@WVNed - sorry to hear about the latest wrinkle, but I'm glad you're here and please know that I learn from and am inspired by your projects. Good luck!

Just the law of unintended consequences. I upgraded my ozone generator. It nerfed my Lifereef skimmer and breaks the foam. Jeff at Lifereef tells you this will happen. So I haven't been skimming effectively for a couple of weeks. The place I bought the generator from has this pic

So I started thinking about how I could do that. It requires 2 sizable vessels. Hey, I have that other skimmer sitting over there.

UV too Hmmmm. I think doing UV correctly is harder than ozone. Maybe later.

I've done ozone and UV less than well in the past. IMO they are both very powerful tools if done well. Few do them well.

I didn't know that was an option when I had mine pulled (chiseled).

Me: Please bring me a screwdriver.
Her: Flathead, Phillips or vodka?
Me: And that’s when I knew she was the one.
