Good Morning, not a lot of food in the house so grocery shopping is on the agenda for today. i usually transfer special days to a new calendar family and friends' birthdays and anniversaries, but perhaps this is the year i just put them on my iCalendar? I'll know my decision if i don't come home today with a paper calendar. It would be nice if i would just tell me these things instead of making me wait to find out.:confused:

Good Morning! It's 17 and snowing here. We should get around 6 or so inches over the next few days. There isn't too much going on around here. Getting ready for the NFL playoffs. The Saints will lose early on I am sure. I can't wait for baseball to start again. Have a great day!

Good morning! Nothing like waking up thinking it's Sunday already, but it's only Saturday (it is Saturday, right? :oops:). I have 2 more days until I'm back to work! I finally filled up the ATO reservoir yesterday and ran enough extra to do a w/c...whether I do it or not is a whole different story! Have a great SATURDAY! ;Joyful

2021 is off to a great start. tweaked my lower back moving a case of water. are you kidding me.

Today I took our Christmas tree down. For many years I would remove the ornaments and lights then carry the thing outside and spend the next few weeks picking up needles. About 10 years ago I started doing it this way. I put a fifty gallon garbage can on a dolly and roll it next to the tree. Put down a drop cloth and with a pruning sheers remove all the branches and put them in the can. Then throw out the middle stick. Very little mess. This is whats left.

I also kept my indoor lights in this box. You can see how old it is. It was made in the US in the town I lived in. I used that filter for many years.

Scored BIG TIME at the fish store this morning. I got this beautiful “Tutti Fruiti” colony (27 polyps) for $100. Just sitting on top of the frag rack right now. May just stay there. I dipped them and within ten minutes of being in the tank, they were almost all open.

The last 5 or 6 deer I harvested were taken right off my back deck. 3 with the crossbow and the rest with a rifle. I gave up hunting 3 seasons ago but haven’t been up a tree to hunt since we bought our house 5 years ago.

Well, it’s a “do or die” situation for my Tennessee Titans today. Crossing my fingers that they can pull it off against the Texans. Fingers crossed!
I got many of today’s chores done yesterday so it looks to be a semi-relaxing day. The usual “daily” stuff still has to be done but Angela and I split those duties on Sundays.
I did a second seeding of Tisbe Pods at lights out last nite. Those Tisbe’s really do a great job of keeping the sand bed clean. I waited till long after the Six Line went to bed in his slime bubble to do it. Last time I seeded, I think he ate most of them before they could find cover. He was HIGE the next day. What a little hog!

We have so many deer here on Long Island NY that I don't need a shotgun or crossbow. I can stand in the street and trip them when they come by. They think they own the place ;Meh
They tried to reduce their numbers by dropping birth control pills from helicopters but the way a deer hoofs are designed they couldn't get the pills out of those little round plastic containers. :rolleyes:

Mocha catches deer for us. He is like a ninja hiding in the shadows until he strikes. He is training Louie.

Sometimes they sneak up on him though. We all get older.

Good Morning! It's 20 and snowing outside and 40 inside. Our furnace went out yesterday because the maintenance staff never replaced the filter. Of course they work in the rooms and their office has a separate heater so only the front desk has to freeze. On top of that my Alk is dropping over 1 Dkh everyday. I have precipitation and can't figure out how to stop it. I am on the ledge about to give up. 2021 sucks so far.
