Good Morning!

How many remember ?
I remember those long distance calls well. When I got to Sydney Australia for R&R in 1971 I called home as there were no cell phones or computers then so it was 10 months since I spoke to my family.

I still have the bill. It was $57.00. In 1971 you could still get a cup of coffee for fifty cents so $57.00 was quite a bit of change.

And it took about 4 hours for the call to go through. It went all through Europe and I heard all the operators from those countries.

On my way home from Viet Nam the same year we stopped in Alaska for gas. I called from there and it was over $7.00 for a 2 minute call. Thats probably forty bucks today.

Good morning. Hugs to all that need one! Our cat and my daughter’s cat are continuing to have issues. Our cat is fine with daughter’s but he is not ok with our new cat. Not really new, it’s been 5 months now. I hope he gets over it soon or it’s going to be a long Christmas break. ;Cat
Tree and all decorations are up. We have a little table top tree in the basement and is becoming a normal event several times a day. lol gotta love our pets!

Good morning
I got rid of my double cab full size pickup to save money because Jill is retiring. Now I have a little Subaru. Then gas went up so much it costs me the same to fill it up.

Good Morning! I am still very tired. Ever since I got the last shot all I do is sleep. I get my new speakers and a couple of records today that I have been waiting on. Loud music should help me stay awake. It hasn't stopped snowing and the town has barely started plowing. I have to wade through 18 inches to get to the road so far. I have to figure out how to get my smoker to work so I can smoke a ham for the Christmas party. I am beginning to doubt that it will happen. Oh well, it is what it is. Have a great day and stay safe!

Have you tried the secret catnip feline bonding ritual? I would tell you about it but it's secret.

I don’t know that little secret, do tell. But we do have a motion sensor fish that flops around with cat nip inside of it. He is bored with it after 5 minutes.

Mine is parked for the same reason, 5 bucks a gallon. Irony is that the Mini I daily drive requires premium gas. Still 60 bucks a fill up beats 130+ dollars.

Louie knows where I sleep and he is watching me.
Apparently my MRI has been approved but the scheduling is backed up 2-3 months.
I put the new thermopile in the gas stove. Then the wire to the thermostat was bad so I pulled a new one in. Then the thermostat was bad. Then my back said I hate you and I quit.

Both our cars require premium gas as well. My husband is waiting for Audi to release their new electric car, (in 2022 I think) then he is trading his in for that one.

The Tundra only had a 20 gallon tank and the Impreza has a 14 but I run it on premium because it is a 12.5:1 compression engine. They both go about 300 miles on a tank of gas.

Glad insurance finally came through. I hate dealing with them! I’ve paid out of pocket twice now for MRI’s. Insurance said not necessary or fist had to do all these other steps. I know my body and knew something was going on that physical therapy was not going to fix! With insurance it was $3k no insurance and it was only $600.

The power grid is so bad I had to spend money to get a NG generator for my house. I think getting an electric car is silly under the current circumstances. Not sure how I could store electrons in the garage for emergencies.

good morning all... :) anyone want's to brave the chill ,meteor shower tonight ...;)
have a great day all...:)

I may have too. The little one may like it...
He is 7 days from being a 3 year old and just now really going through his "terrible" 2's. He had small tantrums throughout the year. Only fueled by a tired mom... Now he's throwing the tantrums.

Good morning all! busy conversations this morning.

Audi is proud of those E-Trons.. I think we'll be holding on to our 21 SQ5 until the wheels fall off it lol :D Plus I don't know if I can get used to not having a satisfying rumble when I smash the accelerator. I'm curious how those cars will do in the frozen north.
