The power grid is so bad I had to spend money to get a NG generator for my house. I think getting an electric car is silly under the current circumstances. Not sure how I could store electrons in the garage for emergencies.

i love all the promises of electric car models increasing from the automotive companies.
new vehicles = new tooling = new tooling design = $$$$$$$$$$$ for moi. :cool:

I will always have one internal combustion vehicle in the fleet, it's over 50 years old, but it will never die. As said above the world teeters on the edge of being cuckoo.

Yeah, we will probably always keep one gas powered car. We both work from home so our gas isn’t too bad. My husband’ s current car is 9 years old and under 70 k miles.

Audi is proud of those E-Trons.. I think we'll be holding on to our 21 SQ5 until the wheels fall off it lol :D Plus I don't know if I can get used to not having a satisfying rumble when I smash the accelerator. I'm curious how those cars will do in the frozen north.

I don’t know that much about them. I know so far , Tesla has the best range on their battery. My husband says the Audi is supposedly pretty good too. I personally haven’t looked into it. He doesn’t wants Tesla though! He says everyone has one so for that reason he doesn’t. lol. We see them all the time here since we have a dealership in town. And now they have a model in the $30 k range. He has to be different!

As soon as I can get an all electric "American made" SUV like a Jeep, I will get one.
I know Jeep sells one in Europe, But I don't want to move there because my fish frown on that. :oops:

It didn't make me a total believer of all electric, but the very limited hybrid that it was did show me that it was possible to go with another hybrid in the future.

good morning, all! the weather has passed and yet we still have it. the fish don't seem to realize the season, probably because their days are not getting shorter like ours. do you control the light period in your tanks to mimic seasonal change? do you try to correspond to the origin latitude of your fish? am i overthinking?

It didn't make me a total believer of all electric, but the very limited hybrid that it was did show me that it was possible to go with another hybrid in the future.

2018 ford fusion hybrid, 44 mpg 525 mile per fill up, good in winter tho a little fewer mpg. non plug in; up and down pikes peak no problem. i am satisfied with it but they quit making them so i don't know what i will replace it with down the road. if i had enough grazing land i might be tempted into a quarter horse. there's always Shank's mare

I wanted a Fusion hybrid, ex wife had a new 2014, gasser model. It was a good car but the ones I found in your year range last year when I was turning in the BMW had high mileage or wanted a mint for them.

i did the tooling design for the tesla s3 underbody.
some of my best, definitely most difficult, design work.
3 robot mounted lasers.
i wouldn't know an s3 if you parked one next to me. :cool:

good news..... next tuesday is the shortest daylight and then we start heading in the positive direction.

Saw a huge suburban turkey standing on the side of the road like it didn't care. I don't have any idea where those things live.

Beautiful day at the Biltmore today! So much history with the Vanderbilt family and such an incredible place. This was our 2nd trip…but the first time in December. The house was incredible, decorated for Christmas.
Grammie was worried about the koi ponds and dragged husband out of the house in the freezing cold to check on them. What happens if the ponds freeze?? Are the ponds heated? Does anyone empty the skimmer? ;) I got no answers, but the koi ponds appear to be doing well. :)
