Good Morning!

Good Morning!
With so much rain lately the yard branches were so wet they would not burn; not to mention the leaves in the pile. Traditionally I burn the Christmas tree on New Year's Eve. 2020's tree some how missed the memo and was still out there this Christmas. That may have contributed to my not having a tree this year, so i tried to catch up this year but with the weather, and my half hearted efforts, the tree remained. Yesterday I got the wheelbarrow and hand pruner and turned the branches of the pine and the ones from the yard maples into 6 inch twigs that would lie compactly. With an oatmeal container for a fire starter chimney, I inserted some small twigs and some shipping paper, lit it, put it nearly vertical in the bottom of the burn pit, covered it with the wood pieces, then lay the larger sticks and the pruned Christmas trunk across the pit. After 15 minutes of heavy white smoke there did appear actual fire. by the end of the evening, with the help of some split white ash remnants, the tree had been rendered ashy. I will see if that makes any difference this coming Christmas.

Good morning
Last night.
Jill got off work her last day and was so excited she ran over a curb at a gas station and got a flat. So Jeanna and I went to save her and changed the flat. I was so excited I hit a large pothole in the dark and got a flat. We got home and went to be early.
So I am hunting tires today.
play the lotto... what the odds of that... ;)
congrats on full retirement...:)

Sorry about the flat tires, but congrats to Jill on retirement! :)

Good morning, Going for a morning walk now. It is cold out, about 30 degrees and the weather predicted there would be snow on the ground this morning. Of course they are never right, like never.

It's a great job if you can get it when you never have to be correct so the forecast of a 50% chance of snow seems to be the safest bet and something they should always predict.

I was kind of looking for a "little" snow, not a blizzard, but I like my morning walks with a little snow just to change up the scenery a bit. :(
my assistant scuba instructor was a local weather predicter.
i once asked if he felt guilty making a six digit income and being wrong 90% of the time.
he just smiled.
