Good Morning! It's a toasty 5 this morning. Yesterday I saw an 18 wheeler destroy a car. The car sat in the drive way and just waited and then tried to pull out in front of it. Everything here is white and covered in snow and ice. They waited and then tried to basically cut it off. Seeing stuff like this is why I don't drive. People are idiots when they get behind the wheel of a car. Two people dead. Have a great day and stay safe!

it snowed pretty much from sun up till well past sundown yesterday.
a nice fluffy snow globe powder snow.
five plus but light enough to just push it with a shovel instead of a snow blower.
latest thing around here is people using leaf blowers to clear their drives.
wonder if that will cut down on the snow clearing heart attacks.

andrea is liking the new job at the local hardware store.

We do have a pet that catches birds and eats them. Rabbits too.

so nobody called BS on my post. coffee and food are completely different. I don't care how good the food is i salt and pepper everything and put hot sauce on some of it without making any judgement on the quality of preparation.

You do that to carefully prepared food but I am supposed to accept you know what good coffee is.

I used to put salt on everything until I stayed a summer with my Grandpa who couldn't have salt. I also hated onions until then. I learned to enjoy the taste of food. After living in California, I learned how to eat good food and use even less salt.

This morning walk was nice and not to cold. I walked through these summer bungalows. No one is there in the winter. That is the Sound in the back



The Sound was very calm, but I just don't feel like collecting water today.

It's the Florida style of cold in the 40's, so I'll make post roast tonight. 2 hrs. in the Instant pot.

40 with 100% plus humidity is cold. The humidity here when it gets to -40 is in the single digits. It honestly doesn't feel that bad. In the summer when we hit the 80s the humidity is around 40% and the breezes are cool and it's about 10 degrees or more cooler in the shade.

about 6 minutes after this picture i was lunch munching in style Sage sausage, Rotel, and half dozen eggs. plus salt and pepper.

It's funny. When we are in Colorado and it's 10-20 deg. I can often walk around with a heavy sweater. When we get home and it's 40 deg I have to put on a winter jacket.

High elevation usually equals lower humidity. -40 here is a million times better than -40 in Michigan or Wisconsin. The worst cold I experienced was in Hawaii. It snowed 18". I had to buy a sweater.
