Actually, I do have something. Unfortunately, I have to complain and you are a captive audience, so here I go. I know it's long. There is a guy near here who has a 55 he set up a few months ago. Has some fish, everything is great with the parameters, has years of experience with a tank he took down a while ago, etc. But he could use some help stocking it for various reasons. In the end, I decided to give him about 10 frags I had made with good stuff on them. Really nice zoas, sinularia, nice Ricordea, etc. Two weeks later every single one is dead. (Insert censored expletives here !!!) He told me this "might" be why. 1- He started every frag on the top of the rock work and knows he needs a new light because the current one is way too bright for the tank. 2- Actually only has 2 test kits and one is for ammonia. 3- The best one of all. He was using a ten year old heater and never checked the temperature. He just set it and let it run. It turns out the temperature in the tank was in the low 90's. I'm surprised his fish are alive. That's all. I'm done now.

and they have a 180 gallon dual Megaflow tank
"I don't care honey, which ever one will fit in the car"
No guts no glory.
I have no idea how I will get it out of the car when I get home. I will think of something.

Louie will not eat tuna, salmon or chicken but we are sharing the anchovy pizza leftovers for lunch.

but i can probably R2R express it to Nashville area, Columbus Indiana area, no charge.

Lots of posts about worms. Some with quite interesting specimens. I wonder how many kinds of worms there are in the sea? We could have pics of new species on here. I don't guess we will ever know.

Speaking of worms, my new arrow crab doesn't seem to be feasting on bristle worms like I thought it would..

I just had a guest call and ask about his reservations for February 31st. For some strange reason I couldn't find them. Then he said he was sorry and had the date wrong, he meant February 30th. I can't even.

I'm glad the bluebird got out! I love my little bluebirds and look forward to them filling up my bluebird houses in the spring. :) I even buy them mealworms to add to my bluebird dish!

Yes, mealworms is what I feed them. Freeze dried this time of year and fresh live ones once they actively start nest building.

Me too. I do have a platform feeder I put some mealworms in for them but not as many as my bluebirds get :) I also have another platform feeder I put peanuts in shells for the blue jays and squirrels. This seams to keep them away from my other feeders so the cardinals and other birds get to eat. I’m a sucker for all life forms I guess.

she puts out seed, peanuts and suet.
starlings are supposed to be gone this time of year.
usually leave by end of november and come back in march.
we got about a dozen that didn't leave.
isn't there a recipe for blackbird pie?

That's awful. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, but it was nice of you to help him out (or at least try). Sadly, there isn't much you can do about irresponsible tank owners....they're everywhere. Fortunately, the guy who helped me set up my first tank was very responsible, even though he was about 16 at the time! Friend of one of my sons. Great kid. I actually saw him recently. He was expecting his 3rd child any day. I don't know why your story made me think of that. :)

Good morning! It's early. Amazing what anger does to your sleep. Meeting didn't go as expected...why should I be surprised? I'm trying hard to make lemons into lemonade...or whatever that saying is. They told me to just burn my PTO. Ok, great, what happens when it runs out? Are you going to adjust my workload to account for all of this PTO I'll be burning? No real answer. Oh well. :rolleyes: Back to working on my lemonade...one lemon at a time. I think I can adjust my schedule a bit, at least for the rest of the year. I guess I'll worry about next year...next year. It's all good. Husband is very supportive. We'll figure it out! :)

Good morning. Ouch parts hurt. Mind spun off into fish tank. Premade cabinet doors, Rocketengineer plan, need 2 more dollies, take dopamine, coffee, feed Louie, paper says overflow is 700 gph thats not much, wonder when Jill will get home.
