Well, we are under quarantine here. Angela started feeling lousy after returning from a business trip to Tampa last week. Even though she (we) have had all 3 shots, she tested positive. I’ve got her locked in the bedroom (LOL, not really) because I can’t get sick right now. I’m having a procedure next week to remove a mass on my vocal chords.

Good Morning! It's a brisk 1 this morning and now I want donuts. Alas there isn't a decent bakery around here. The beautiful light at Krispy Kreme. How I miss it so. They had an all you can eat once at one in Jackson, MS when I lived there. I ate around 30. I was sick for a few hours afterwards, but I'd do it all over again. Have a great day and stay safe!

Good morning
Received some sad news this morning. One of our local club members died of Covid on NewYears Day. His wife knows nothing about the fish tank. It’s a 8ft 300 gallon acrylic. She smelled something hot like two weeks ago and just shut everything off on the tank. Yesterday she contacted our club asking for help to sell everything. There are only 3 fish and no coral. She keeps the house at 75 so the fish are still alive at this point. Some of us club members are going over this weekend to break everything down for her. She wants way too much for it and we told her she would be lucky to get $500 out of it. Tank is in bad shape with lots of scratches. It’s a sad situation.

Good morning! It's early. Amazing what anger does to your sleep. Meeting didn't go as expected...why should I be surprised? I'm trying hard to make lemons into lemonade...or whatever that saying is. They told me to just burn my PTO. Ok, great, what happens when it runs out? Are you going to adjust my workload to account for all of this PTO I'll be burning? No real answer. Oh well. :rolleyes: Back to working on my lemonade...one lemon at a time. I think I can adjust my schedule a bit, at least for the rest of the year. I guess I'll worry about next year...next year. It's all good. Husband is very supportive. We'll figure it out! :)

Good morning! I've been waking up early all week for some strange reason, so I've been doing catch up work on the aquarium. This morning was replacing one of the carbon filters and the anion DI resin. For some reason I burn thru anion(stage 6), but not the cation(stage 5), or mixed bed cation(stage 7) resins. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe they're not changing colors like the anion resin?

i used to work next to a KK bakery, occasionally they would send over a box to compensate us for the smell pollution, lol

That is not good. CA had it happen and then they all froze. Terrible year for oranges. You don't know if froze until you peel or cut it.

Fortunately we rarely get freezes. We are right by the coast and the weather is often totally different from even a few miles inland due to the temperature effects of the gulf.

Good Morning!
Headed to Nashville this morning with 3 empty oxygen bottles to exchange, the reptile store to get some live crickets for “the girls” and King Meal Worms for “Priscilla” the Brazilian Short Tailed Opossum. The reptile shop is right next to the LFS so I may go in to have a look.
I tested negative last night so I should be okay to be out in public.
If I get home early enough, I’m going to install a back up camera in the Jeep. Both of our other cars have factory cams and I’m a little spoiled. Besides, I’m one of those guys that has to have all of the “doodads”.
Tank is doing great although we have not seen “Toby” the Goby in a few days. One of my Clowns has taken up residence way in the back of the tank in a rock crevice and only comes out to eat. I wonder if they have a clutch of eggs back there. They have been seen doing the “sexy dance” many times lately.
