No hermit crabs, I stuck with the snail-only blend. Apparently the novelty of ordering things like snails, slugs, worms, shrimp, shrimp eggs, and various other aquatic bugs has long since worn off for those around me and now they put on the same pretend-to-be mildly-interested look that I probably share when they get the latest what-ever-is-important-at-that-moment.

Ever bought a fuzzy chiton from RC? That was a fascinating creature in my first tank....at least fascinating to teenagers. It looked like a little brillo pad crawling around the rock. I'm not sure what it did other than look fuzzy.

I even have that weekend off because that was my original intention. But then house stuff started rolling. Way too tempting.

At this point I am just poking at you in a friendly way! You probably have been to both events (or at least have enough info to decide) and you can decide what suits you, but FWIW Aquashella is a two-day entertainment event, whereas the FL Frag Swap is a closer to you, has corals that you can actually see (the coral sales area at Aquashella was really dark), and the raffle at the Frag Swap was significantly better than Aquashella (comparable to RAP events). Seriously though, if you do come to either event please reach out to me - I would enjoy connecting with you!

No fuzzy chitons for me. They definitely do have some interesting critters. Unfortunately the ones that I was specifically looking at were out of stock so I stuck to snails.

I just might have to order a fuzzy chiton with my next order for old time's sake. Our little Teddy likes weird tank critters. I bet his daddy would remember "Fuzzy." That was it's name...how original! ;Hilarious

Good morning everyone! Decided to try Dino-X a try to finally finish them off. You are supposed to have a skimmer, which is tough on a 13 gal AIO, so I made one out of a plastic water bottle with a solo cup on top. So far it works. Today's good news is that biologists have found that attaching green lights to commercial fishing nets reduces the accidental catch of sharks and rays by up to 95% and sea turtles by 51% without affecting the amount of target fish caught. Fishermen will want to use them because hauling in nets with sharks in them is a pain and really time consuming. Awesome!

Good Morning!
We are headed to the “Loveless Cafe” just outside of Nashville for a special breakfast out. Don’t let the name fool Y’all. It’s an iconic place that folks travel great distances to have breakfast. Been there for many, many years and you usually have to wait at least an hour for a table. Best known for their homemade biscuits and country ham..
The walls are covered with pictures of all the famous people that have eaten there.
We decided that my “special” day would consist of me doing NO DAILY CHORES! Angela is doing EVERYTHING for me today. She must have heard me getting up because when I got to the living room, my coffee was already poured and waiting right next to my iPad so I could check in with Y’all.
