so my friend gave me a piece of Gorgonian Coral called a pseudopterogorgia bipinnata and I have no idea how to take care of it. Could anyone give me some advice about this type of coral?

It is a photosynthetic variety of gorg and really doesn't require much to be happy. Good light and good flow, will do well in lps type lighting. It will filter feed so good flow is necessary but gets most of it's requirements from the lighting. No special feeding it will just pick up whats ever in the water. Placement can be anywhere where it gets good flow and light, looks nice to mount on a base and place on the sandbed.

Good flow is a necessary to keep algae and bacteria from growing on it. It will slough its skin when too much algae or detritus has settled on its skin.
