Wow that’s amazing to seeing! I’m curious, much flow do you have on it? Are the polyps always out?

I use a wave marker : Jecod DMP-20M(15W), only use 30% power and use intermittent switching mode(about on in10 seconds, off in 10 seconds).
It is non direct flow that hits the front glass and then reflects to the coral (below photo show the case)
The polyps are not always out, they do not open about a third of a day.
If the whole coral opens half amout of polyps , I feed them some crushed fish pellets. It will opens nearly all of the polyps in 30 mins, then I feed them baby brine shrimp.

Above post has a mistake , I mean the polyps do not ALL open about a third of a day.

Would love to see a video of how your flow looks against the gorgonian! I wasn’t able to get my bb gorg to consistently open, even with high flow

Besides the factor of Water flow rate,
You feed your gorgonian more frequently that will make their polyps consistently open.

Due to above link about experience in feeding blueberry gorgonian by cyclops, I use frozen cyclops vicinus feeding my bb gorgonian.
I think frozen cyclops' nutrients is better than frozen newly hatched brine shrimp.

In fact, the frozen cyclops vicinus looks very big to the naked eye.
But I found that my bb gorgonian's polyps can swallow the cyclops when I make the movie .

Below movie shows the two polyps swallowing :

Below images show the size of the cyclops and the newly hatched brine shrimp

My new feeding plan :

1) morning : use crushed fish pellets (the particles is small enough for small polyps).
Such feeding can make all polyps open resplendently.

2) afternoon : use frozen baby shrimp (the size is suitable for middle and big polyps)

3) evening : use frozen cyclops vicinus

(All above are target feeding and try to feed all polyps)
