More importantly, how in the heck is the bottom glass of your tank that clean!????

lol
Think it's the cleaner shrimp, Brew

Don't ever use the Python's 5/8" hard tube anymore, down there during water changes.

But, the Gyre is set at the highest pulse setting, had to crank it up, to get flow past all the monti over hangs.

Amazing as always Freddie, sorry the nem did in your acro! Hopefully it will come back from what’s left!

Thanks Rick,

It's really is bummer, but some lps have done some sps damage as well.

Had to toss a branching hammer to the back.

Need to re-scape, but I just can't let lose of the wall hammer and gotta keep at least one duncan colonies. Those two duncan colonies used to be in one piece and started off as a two head frag.

I hate losing a nice big colony, and it’s super easy for it to happen. Nothing quite like waking up one morning to a colony that took years to grow wiped clean overnight. Fickle Sticks they are!

I hear ya, Rick

That BTA moved up and stung it on the back right side.

Within 48 hours is the frag that is left (inside that colony) when the tissue recession stopped.

Learn a lesson and keep on reefing.

Andrew's nem wiped out an sps colony, but it is recovering quickly.

Thanks so much!!

We'll frag that good piece, like it was at the first part of this build thread.

I'm so in love with big montis. One day!!!

Katrina

I'll hook you up, when it's safe to meet after this virus.

If your still living close to K-Town.

I'll break off some big hunks of all of them, and meet you half way in Cookeville.

Update: 4/29/20

That evening when the new power supply fixed the Alka-T, the screen started reading jibber jabber and by the next day, it would light up, but would not display any readings. The app was still working and could still see the readings in Fusion.

So, contacted Coralvue to get a price on a new led screen. I came home from work one day last week and the readings were back and have been ever since. Think I got water inside the led display and then, things smoothed out.

Carlos also gave a shout out when they got the pump A's inner tubing back in-stock.

So, Grabbed two of everything for maintenance / Pump A and C inner tubes / intake filter and new reagent line.

Replaced all of those, and re calibrated the main unit. Seems to be running just like brand new. To make sure lowered the cal reactor's melting point and it has worked flawless in turning off the reactor, if we go above 9.0 dKH. Will up the melting point so that we won't rely on that function on a daily basis. Nice to use if your going out of town.

Have totally broke off the Hanna checker and staying with the Saliert alk kit.

When it rains, it pours:
Over the weekend the 5 year old Gyre 300 went down.
So order the Reefwave 25 from Marine Depot, may get here tomorrow.
Not good timing, but need the flow, and we'll be able to see how good the Reefbeat app is.

After ordering the ReefWave, was able somehow?? to get the 2015 Gyre's motor to free up, but only turning one blade. The other sides turn bushing have been wore out, and looks like they don't make that part anymore.

So, we'll move the Gyre to the lower back right side for some back to front flow and place the Reefwave where is Gyre runs now.

Next step is to block in the Alka-T's lines from our cat, in a nice looking panel.

Thanks for tagging along, super happy that the Alkatronic is back up running smooth as silk.

PS:
Kinda get spoiled with and good alk monitor / controller

When I set up my dream tank out west, I'm going to make a trip to see your reef in person. @Brew12 is gonna get a visit too, but we'll keep that a secret for now. Ha!

I definitely love how you seem to have found the grail in dKh stability with your set up. Need to see how it all comes together as one control center with my own eyes. Plus orange is a PEAL ing. See what i did there, right?

Plus, we can laugh about Tampa Bay now being the most hated team in the nfl :)

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
