grape caulerpa in algae reactor

Has anyone tried this? I haven't made the reactor yet (diy) but whenever I put cheateo in my fuge (high, low or medium flow) it always slowly dies off, but when I put caulerpa in it explodes so I was thinking of putting it in the reactor. Thoughts? I've never had a sporilation issue, but if I did I imagine it would just become food for my filter feeder heavy tank. Thanks in advance

Yes it'll work. But if chato is not growing I'd suspect you may not have enough extra nutrients yet to support it.
IMO , the (concern is too strong a word) calurpas will pull nutints even at super low levels, possibly to the extent is actually competeing with other organisms.

Sorry for the late response, my professor took a week off for a conference but decided he wanted to play catchup later so I'be had my face buried in old texts the past couple days. Anyway

This is was confuses me, I have a ton of algae growth in my sump and feed heavy so I don't know why I can't keep Chaeto, but if it'll work I'm going to try it
