If I mis-diagnosed the ich, which is hard to tell, because she really did have white spots, I still need to continue the TTM for the scooter if she doesn't pull through, correct? Just to be safe?

Yes. Even if she didn't have ich, doing TTM on her wouldn't be causing this. This is a bacterial infection that is progressing slowly. Hopefully the antibiotics take hold and help her out. Is she still eating?

If she's being blown around by the PH, I'd dial it down or take it out. An airstone is fine to use so long as you let it dry out thoroughly before reusing it.

Was watching what I felt were her last breaths. Sadly that feeling was confirmed. She didn't make it. 3/4 fish lost in this batch of QT. I'm so glad I do QT but am currently feeling like a failure.

I am assuming to continue TTM with scooter to be sure things are good?

I'm just so sad.

I"m so sorry Jena. It feels bad now, but it will get easier to successfully QT. Are you getting all your fish from the same source? I'm just curious. To answer the quoted question, yes continue with TTM for the scooter.

Thank you both so much. Sooo much. Once the scooter is in, I think I might have to take a break from getting any more new fish for a while.
Although I really could use a fish in there to help with the flatworms. Not a major outbreak but want to get it under control.

I got the two wrasses from my LFS, the Manderin and the scooter came from my local coral guy that I get my corals from. He does a fish order every now and again.

I've noticed sometimes people struggle early on when QT'ing. But you will become more successful as you gain experience. Like everything in life.

I do not know who the wholesaler is. But I had a flame hawk in QT when they came in and had him hold them for 2 weeks before I got them. They were fine then.
@Humblefish thanks. I know I learn each time. The fish I have lost in the process just sucks. Hopefully this will all just help me to help others not make the same mistakes. :)
