My green stylophora completely retracted almost all its polyps within a few minutes. I have never seen my sps do this except for when the lights go out.

I just checked perameters around 3 hours ago: alk 7.8, cal 430, mag 1300, po4 0.02, nitrate 22 (always in low 20s) ph 7.8, Nitrite 0, ammonia 0. Salinity 0.025, temp 79.

Dont have any fish that bother sps. Only invert that bothers them is an emerald crab and it can climb all over it without it retracting. Could this just be random or is there something in could be missing? Everything is great and growing minus a very small hammer that hasn't been extending fully for a few days.

Picture was before and after

How long does it usually stay retracted for?

It varies, hours and sometimes for the day.
Oh wow. OK hopefully there isnt any issue i am missing. Lights will be out in about an hour so I guess I will find out in the morning.

Very interesting. Its always super fluffy and happy looking. I turned away for maybe 10 minutes and it looked like this so I panicked a bit.
