About 8 more and I'll be good 2 go.

Phil I have one in my garage if you need it. Brought coral's home from Cincy the other weekend in it.

Luckily I have about 6-8 weeks. But the time is ticking. Have I think 50% either fully planned or close 2 finalizing.

I'll be checking out Fintastic for sure. Typically when I drive over an hour it's to play the best disc golf courses in our state, not for fish stuff as Louisville has some good shops, 15-20 mins and I can be at any of them (non rush hour).

Does Fintastic ever carry fairy, leopard, and flasher wrasses? Luckily there are a few vendors I've been turned on 2 by a few people that carry the oddities I seem to go after.

Cary is not too far from Durham, so you can go get your Duke fix too. Haha.

Make sure you come up to Clayton and visit Reefkeepers. I am in Clayton also btw and on Carolinafishtalk too.

Don't go to Rocky Mount! lol.... i am from there and i don't go there.

Its getting better believe it or not ....30% drop in crime rates in 2014, another 15% in 2015
some rich investor bought up the old cotton mill(the one over seeing battle park) turning that Whole area into a fancy micro beer brewing system. Basically lots of different small companies, ready to get bigger but not ready to afford such equipment on their own sharing the equipment but brewing their own blends. Only a few are operating atm, but some speciality restaurants have opened there.
lot of those OLD housings are getting fixed.(including the literal shacks that have been empty since Floyd)
If it works out that whole downtown area could be a fancy tourist stop in a few years 0o

But I totally understand the feeling....ran away at 17 went all over the world only to end up back here with a what the heck.

Hit Parkers Barbecue up earlier, is this what's considered North Carolina barbecue?

Yes, that is North Carolina barbecue. The pulled pork down east (where we are) is vinegar based, out towards the mountains they use a different kind of sauce, but none of it is the sweet stuff like you find on memphis barbeque. It was a big change for me when I moved here. My boyfriend who was born and raised here and he can't stand it. lol

We are located in New Bern (50 minutes from Greenville) and there are not any good LFS here but have several friends that live here and close that are in the hobby, we sell and trade also. Ward's Aquatics on Arlington Blvd (he has a facebook page) is a great place to get coral and he has been stocking fish. His shop is small right now but his tanks are clean and a very nice selection of various corals. I got a couple of Ornate Leopards from him a few weeks ago, red coco worm, gold hammer, zoas, fish food etc. In the past we had gotten fish and coral from fish, fish, fish in Plymouth or ordered online. We rarely go to Raleigh and go to Wilmington on occasion.

We are on CarolinaFishTalk, Carolina reefers and a local facebook page New Bern Area Reefers.

I took 2 bites and couldn't eat no more. Lol

I head back to KY in the morning and am looking forward to being back home, as I miss my tank and kiddos. I've done quit a bit exploring these past 2 trips down here in Greenville and am really dreading this move. If my wife hadn't received the position with salary she did there's no way I'd move here because it just isn't for me.
