Rocky Mount resident here, if you want to visit a really nice shop check out Fintastic . Located in Cary but it will be well worth your drive, trust me. I have traveled all over this barren state looking for a nice place to shop and Fintastic is the best you will find around here. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and welcome to NC!!

I'm in Raleigh and although most are a bit of a drive, there are some nice places to go. Fintastic in Cary, The Reef Farm in Raleigh, The Fish Room in Raleigh, Wimington, and Cary, and Triad Reef Keepers in Greensboro. I'm not familiar with the Greenville area so I can't comment of anything that way. Welcome!

It's in a weird Lil corner place.... horrible location but the frag tank is Def worth a look! And I mean horrible location because you can't see it not a bad neighborhood

The Fish Room wasn't the easiest thing to spot either. I'll keep that in mind when I go searching! haha

Be careful where you go in Durham. Ever watched wrong turn . Well some places in Durham I would not be caught in .

I liked Wards, Dwayne seems to have a good grip on things.

Luckily I've been fortunate enough to meet e few vendors that sell coral and ship that I really like. Now the fish and other eels to come, may have to be ordered online due to where I want to go through. But I'll also be telling Wards about a few that won't deal with me to not being a store/shop.

This is true, but there are areas that are just as bad in Raleigh, and even worse in Greenville. Generally the area by Duke is not bad. Just don't venture far from it. Also most of the riff raff in Durham happens late at night not during the day.

There is a reef swap on the 20th if you are going to be back in Greenville. I have some family there so ended up going last year. There would be some vendors there that could get you set up with a local club/store.

Welp tomorrow is the beginning of the end for me here in KY as we're moving my wife down so that she can start her new job. Luckily our realtor has apartments that rent month to month there while we search for a house to move into.

I lived in Greenville and I am now on the coast of South Carolina. After traveling to the majority of LFS is both states all I can say is .... online is really your only source if you want anything approaching quality. Down here aint California!

I will have to disagree with masterbuilder, I'm telling you guys that you got to check out Fintastic. They are a new shop that opened earlier this year and they are the best you will find in this neck of the woods. Prices are unbeatable also.

I'll be checking out Fintastic for sure. Typically when I drive over an hour it's to play the best disc golf courses in our state, not for fish stuff as Louisville has some good shops, 15-20 mins and I can be at any of them (non rush hour).

Does Fintastic ever carry fairy, leopard, and flasher wrasses? Luckily there are a few vendors I've been turned on 2 by a few people that carry the oddities I seem to go after.
