Hello everybody,
I'm not new to the hobby, but finally found my way to the R2R community.

My name is Sebastian, I'm 29 years old from Germany and got in touch with this great hobby in 2014.
Last year, I started my new Room divider, after I had to sell my other Tanks.

I would like to introduce my "new" Tank and some ideas which I had during the construction phase.
First I thought about the Aquarium construction. After some time I used the Bosch Aluminium system to build it.
Some weeks later I got my new Tank 160x60x60cm. I was really happy to see the project going on. After approx 5 weeks the new sump was ready 100x50x45cm. In order to keep the water clear I thought about filter socks, but as lazy as I'm I ordered a Theiling Rollermat. Near to my hometown, there is the Royal Exklusiv company. I phoned there during the 30 years anniversary and what a funny fact, there was a huge discount on the Red Dragon 3 Pump. I thought a lot of the Tank noise.... because it's next to my bed I had to keep the level down. A friend sold me a 6 months old Bubble king 200. What a luck it was possible to puzzle it in the sump. Step by step the postman delivered more equipment. I ordered an AMS Dastaco2 Extem A1 in Belgium with the synthetic calcium pellets. Next step was the reef, I've to say I love LEGO for its help during the reef construction. Without the little bricks, it would be even harder to build this arcs. Some weeks later the Aquarium was filled whit water. For the nutrition of the biology, I used Sangokai Nutricomplete (Nitrogen) and Complex (Phosphorus). The tank was filled with corals completely after a week.

Tomorow I'll write about the supplement system I use as well as the problems I was confronted with.

Hello Good morning,

First welcome to the forum, you will find tons of lovely people, and unlimited vast amount of knowledge. It was nice to see the history of your tank, and little bit about you. You definitely have a unique stand setup. I’m sure we will all look forward to further information and, pics of your reef tank. How is it over there in Germany by the way? It’s very neat to have people in other countries talk about their experiences and what they have available to them.

Sincerely
Sarah

It's awesome that you used LEGO to help aquascape. I first fell in love with LEGO when I lived in Mannheim in the 1960s, long before they came to the USA. Now, whenever I visit germany I always try to go to a few toy stores, since I think the toys are so much more interesting there!

Willkommen und guten Nachmittag.... So where abouts in Germany. I miss that place, I lived in Paderborn for 6 years. I would happily move back there if I could afford to. Thats a great looking build.... and I would not expect anything less from a German build lol.

Hey Sarah,

Germany is a good point to start with reefing, maybe not as good as the USA, because you have a lot m more corals and shops available. But it's okay, I've a lot of company's near by, like triton, Re, Ati. Short ways for icp analysis.

Hallo und danke, hat mich sehr viel nerven gekostet.
I'm really happy with the reef, it combined all of my experiences I've made with the reefing hobby.
I was born in Leverkusen and lived some time in cologne.
