Hello good people of Reef2Reef! jmeist01 here and I am excited to start this journey. This is my second attempt at this hobby and I have had a year with a new tank then six years on dry land. Recently I started a 15 gallon jbj rimless AIO. I am about a month in and things are starting to get interesting. I have one clown and an bubble rose nem. A handful of simple coral that is currently on the sand bed, I have not decided where to put them on my rock work yet, taking it slow. Anyways I am here to make friends and learn something along the way!

Carpi Diem,

JM

Hi JM and Welcome! Seems like you are well on your way.

Planning a frag swap later this year in Collin County for dfwmas hobby club - might be McKinney or might be Allen - location and date still TBA. Once the March 5th Arlington 1st frag swap and April bus tours have all their logistics worked out, swiveling to your part of metroplex! Target is June/July for 2nd frag swap of 2022. Info will go up at dfwmas.org - would be cool to meet a R2R person IN person!!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. Like you, I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
