Quick Update:
Plenty of hair algae starting to grow.
Small number of CUC, all doing well - except one casualty, emerald crab managed to get stuck in MP40 :(
NO3 hit 4 and now down to 1.5.
PO4 at 0.08.
Cheato growing strongly in sump.
Pods EVERYWHERE like I've not seen before.
2-3 gal per day evap.

Gribbliest , I am loving your build! Keep the updates coming ! I wanted to asked if you hand any pictures of the electronics section of your stand where the P4 is ? I am currently in the install phase of my GHL P4 and I was just curious to see how you did it?

Thank you sir!

I'll see if I can take something. It's just sat on my chiller in the cabinet at the moment - I am trying to figure out what to do with it! I need to put in a shelf for it really.

I just have silicone hoses for the moment, waiting for one more pump for my GFO/Carbon reactor (original was damaged by courier on and now BRS is out of stock!), then I will look to get some nice plumbing done...

Not much to report.

More CUC, a pair of Perc Clownfish, and a RBTA went in a week ago. The clowns immediately hosted the nem. They are now bickering a little. The smaller one is permanently in the nem, the larger one swims around 3-4 inches away most of the day, then goes and sleeps in the corner of the tank at night!

Everything else still pretty much the same, hair algae growing.
No3 down to Zero now, PO4 down to 4. Cheato growing like crazy in the sump. Possibly in need of a larger bio load to get that NO3 up a little.

Just switched the Kessil H380 to run opposite to DT, see if can reduce the pH swing. It's not huge, but it's there.
MP40's running Reef Crest mode.
ORP holding up at 380-400, with much less use of the O3 Generator now.
Been playing with the lighting, currently running a downloaded scene from the GHL website - switched around a week ago. Much nicer than bleaching my eyes with everything on 100%!!!

Emerald Crab decided to take its life one night by swimming/climbing into an MP40. Found the wet side laying on the sand bed with a crab well and truly jammed in the prop - not so easy to remove. No damage to equipment, just my first loss of livestock.

Oh, and can anyone say pods? THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.

Seems running the sump light opposite to the DT has already reduced the pH swing, also the ORP.

pH is blue, ORP is black:

Added a few more fish and a couple of LPS over the last week.

1 x Sailfin Tang
1 x Yellow Tang
1 x Pygmy Flame Angel (hoping he's RS!!)
1 x Yellow Watchman and a Red Spotted Pistol Shrimp (they've already bonded and made a huge burrow under my floating ledge - yikes!

1 x Torch
1 x Hammer
1 x Frogspawn

Had a little accident removing the Frogspawn from its base and cracked it's skeleton. It's opening slowly, hoping it'll survive.

Nitrates still undetectable, as is ammonia, nitrite.
Phosphate around 0.004.

Just bought a Phyto Reactor and Copepod Reactor/Hatchery, will get set up tonight!

I don't think I'd ever realised the impact of CO2 on pH before. Had the oven on for 8-9 hours on Christmas Day, cooking turkey etc, and the drop in pH was incredibly visible! Came right back up once everyone went to bed, but not noticed that before!!!

Phyto cultures in, just need to grab my pod culture to get the pods going - had none in when I picked up the reactors.

Hey, nice tank. I’m setting up a reefer 250 with the same light mounts. How did you get the cable to exit the channel? Looks like you were able to make it work. Maybe some pictures?

Thanks!
Chris

00681738-9169-4F82-AC67-17A3B61CCC00.jpeg So finger crossed, I think the Frogspawn is recovering...

Struggling with 0 NO3, my cheato has all but died off.
