Does anyone know of a magnet rock product that will allow Acro colonies to grow on?

IMHO, most any will. I grow some corals directly on coated magnets in the tank.

Do you ask the question because you have some special concern about Acros and magnets?

Mainly, I’m looking for something that looks like rock and can handle the weight. It will be on 3/4 glass.

Wow, those look awesome and exactly what I’m looking for except I don’t see any rated for 3/4 glass. Appears they only go up to 1/2 glass. :(

I just did, lol.

He said he doesn’t make them for 3/4 but they can be fitted with suction cups. Too bad. I would order a at least a few shelves if he made them for 3/4.

Which Tunze magnet did you use?

Build your own, I made one for my tank out of an old tunze powerhead magnet and a stick of epoxy.

Same as Ef4life, old magnet from pump (careful, the old gen has a tendency to "pop" and expose rust).
The colony was drilled to insert an acrylic rod, then the rod was fixed with epoxy to the magnet.

I appreciate the info but see my post above. This was 5 years ago and I have been growing acros off Reef Rax since then.
