growth on mushroom

I added this guy to the 8 gallon a week or so ago and noticed this odd bubble like growth going on for the past few days. Any ideas?

Is it folding or pinching?

Not that I can see. I'll have to check closer when I get home tonight. I'm wondering if maybe an air bubble is trapped beneath it and irritating it?

Is it splitting? They look bad when they do.

Haha that would be nice, but I just peaked in while the lights are off and saw this.

Looks like it is growing around a limpet. When I get home from work I will see how attached it is.

Mine will attach to an empty limpet shell. Then I glue the shell to a rock or plug.
