Growth on snail

What is growing out of my snails shell?

It's hard to tell from that picture, but I have had limpets extremely attached to snail shells previously...which looked like an extra hump on the shell.

Looks like a horse hoof limpet. Is it a good or bad hitchhiker?

I'm not familiar with a horse hoof limpet. Here's a link that talks about them and gives a couple pics to see if that is what it is. It doesn't sound like it is bad.

That’s what this is. Same snail and everything. 99.99% sure it’s a horse hoof limpet.
