Hey fellow acroheads.

I thought I'd start a thread to document my acropora growth over the next 12 months. I plan on doing weekly acro growth shots and stitching them into a time lapse gif. I will update this thread every Sunday with new growth time lapses!

We're about 5 weeks into 2021, and here's the growth so far:

This is awesome I’ve always been looking for something like this, super super cool!!!!

The hardest part about this is lining up the camera every week so that the pictures come out the same. :p
If/when I do this, I’m gonna make an outline like in expo/sharpie and just put it there and take the shot

That's a big brain strategy...

That’s awesome!!! I’m extremely jealous! Do you have any tips/tricks for your sps?
I unfortunately don't. I think the key is just stability. I don't do anything special besides feed EasySPS and EasyBooster. I can't even be sure what role those play.

I run my parameters at the following:
Salinity: 1.024
Alkalinity: 7.0-7.5
Calcium and Magnesium: Unknown. I don't test
NO3: Near 0 on API test kit
PO4: 0.03-0.08

That's awesome. Looks like your stuff is growing at a really good clip! Thought about mounting my GoPro to the side of the tank and doing some time lapse as well. After seeing that, I might have to!

They're under 2x Reefi Duo Extremes mounted on Ecotech mounts. Par sits between 250-350.
