My buddy gave me this to see what colors I could get out of it.

any ideas about a name?

Its beautiful, but too small to really ID, also has some growth distortion which makes reliable ID even tougher.
 
If it holds the purple swirls all over and isn’t just a pigment change from stress or a temporary pigment infection it will be really cool. But the way the structure of the coral has grown it looks a little off.
minus9 is it a frag from one of you’re coloniesor something? I would love to see the colony it came from.

No, it's just what I would name it. But I would definitely take a frag, looks cool!
 
Reminds me a bit of what CC Voodoo Majick has become in my tank, although mine is more magenta in color, but the yellow orange tips make me think that.
