I will post another pic after work, i haven’t tested more than a dip strip which showed nitrite, does not check ammonia. The rock is starting to look (and smell) betterRip, how is the live rock looking now? Did your ammonia level jump up?
I'm going to assume you went back to Atlanta with the rock fully submirged in water. Did you put it in your tank without any kind of curing?I drove to Tampa from Atlanta to get my rock from Gulf Live Rock in person, this was in 2019 pre-covid. I bought 60 lbs of the premo rock and 40 lbs of the reef sand. Both were awesome and will do it again when I set up my next tank. Highly recommend.............

It wasn't fully submerged, but had some water and wet towels on it. The drive was only like 7 hrs, so as soon as I got home I put it in the tank with the live reef sand and BOOM instant reef. I did have a few bad hitchhikers but over time I removed them.I'm going to assume you went back to Atlanta with the rock fully submirged in water. Yeah I would recommend setting up two 5 gallon or a 10 gallon and a 5 gallon to separate and observe the rock. Pull rocks out and put in buckets during water changes and wash old tank water over rocks in the buckets. Then put back in QT tanks. This washes off all the Gulf sediment and other things into the buckets. Then empty 3/4 of those buckets and see what’s moving in the buckets. You might want to toss or keep depending on what type of worm or whatever it is. GLR is great LR. No complaints here.It wasn't fully submerged, but had some water and wet towels on it.
