Hi,

I’m currently looking into 2 nero 5s or 2 gyre wavemakers (reefwave 25/45 or gyre fx330/350) for flow. Although, I have a hard time deciding between the style of flow. Do any of you have experience with both and if so, can you show a video of those pumps running anti sync.

So - a gyre (assuming you mean the maxspect gyre) - is a little different than a wavemaker. I do not personally like the look of the tank with a wave maker - depending on how they are set. So - I'm just going to give my experience with the maxpect Gyre - which is they are fantastic. I have 2 set up on my 5 foot tank one on each side. They slowly ramp up from off to 50-100 percent (randomly) in an alternating mode (i.e. one side is on the other is off, then that reverses). This creates excellent variable flow - and they are quiet, easily programmable with their App, and work quite well. Hope this helps a little
