I need to up the flow in my tank due to coral growth. Right now a gyre looks appealing for the flow pattern. Which brand is the most reliable and easiest to service?

I use both of these in my systems and enjoy them. I'll note that I prefer manual controllers rather than app control. I also agree with you on the superiority of gyres for flow, they create chaotic and gentle flow that corals love. I prefer them even to the far more expensive vortech pumps. The only downside is that gyres do take up more space in your tank than "puck" shaped wavemakers.

I've had a jebao scp 150 on one side for 2 years now. Runs quietly with little to no heat just a pain in the az to clean. If I get three years out of it I'll be ecstatic at its price point.

I am a fan of the Hygger gyres. Easy to pop and clean and it just works. No app to fiddle with so it helps prevent me from fiddling with it too much like I do with lights.

Sea Sweep or the new Tunze ORCA.
I run 2 sweeps on my 150. No need for more with plenty of power left and the cords go through the sweeps
I will run a new ORCA on my 36×36×19 system. A ORCA with a 6105 is about the same price as a sweep with no powerhead.
The ORCA has 180` of movement and the Sweep has only 90° but requires no wifi. The tunze is app based.
One of the best random flows you can find, imo.
