Hair algae vs gsp

I notice my green star polyp not opening and took a closer look to see hair algae all over it and its the only spot in my it's growing what do I do
I have move him to other places in the tank and still no luck

Nitrate. .5
Phosphate .25
Ph 8.4
Calcium 500
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
 
Up your CUC, with many more Hair Algae eating critters, and get the GFO out to get rid of the Hair Algae.
 
Scarlet Hermit Crabs will eat hair algae and help keep your sand bed clean, too. But, you need quite a few of them or you can pick them up and put them where you want them.
