Not much info on this guy, also known as the Yellowface or Green wrasse.

Does anyone have any experience with this species? Adopted one from a reefer who was redoing their fish population and wanted to downsize, this fish is close to 6". The LFS had it marked as H hortulanus, but as it grew out of it's juvenile form it obviously wasn't a Checkerboard.

Other than being large, its interactions both in his tank and mine has been fairly similar to a melanurus. Just curious what I may have gotten myself into, there isn't much documentation online of these in captivity. Previous owner had kept it for about 3 years.

Thanks in advance, internet photo for reference.

They are very closely related to melanurus so i'd expect that they'd behave more or less the same as you noted. 6" is definitely larger than i'd expect them to reach though, are you sure what you have is actually solorensis?
