Hammer Coral behavior

The past two days one of my hammers has been retracted all heads and once fully retracted releases a brown liquid and then fully extends and goes back to normal. It almost looks similar to when clams spawn in reef systems. Is this just another way euphillia propagate? I’m very doubtful it’s zoo as I’ve seen it release that before and this is much more liquid fine particle consistency

sounds like the hammer coral is pooping. They do this to release excess zooxanthellae

Hammer coral releasing something from mouth?

Hello all, title says it all. I’ll attach a picture. I just got this little hammer 3 days ago; haven’t had the best of luck with them in the past. Is this normal from time to time?

I have to agree with @Crabs McJones . Releasing poop. The way euphyllia propagate is by growing baby heads on their stalk. Mine have done so and it’s fun to see just how they become this fluffy thing when full grown!
