Bought a new hammer coral today and noticed at home it has black dots/patches on its skeleton. Gave it a dip and scrubbed lightly around the black spots and two little bugs came out which I'm having trouble identifying with Google. Could use some help and any info on why the skeleton has black spots would be appreciated thanks!

Bug looks like some kind of isopod, did it have all same size legs?
Look up isopods and try match.
The underneath looks like some sort sponge growing and black spots I'm unsure but I think I got similar in my tank

Those spots look like holes. If so you may have a burrowing worm issue. Pods will take up residence in the holes dead worms leave behind. It’s a feee pod hotel lol.

It's an isopod. They're awesome little cleaners. They hide in rocks during the day and clean up debris at night.
If you take a flashlight and shines it in to a dark tank, you'll see how many you really have.
