Hi guys,

My hammer isnt opening fully and hasn't done for a few weeks. I've owned it for 4 months now. I had a big power outage and it was 24c for about 12 hours everything was okay aside from the hammer. Not sure if this is the cause.

Temp 25-26
Salinity 1.025
Ph 8
Phosphate 0.03
Nitrate 5
Cal 400
Mag 2000
Alk 8.5

Mag is high due to me raising it to remove byrprosis

Any comments would be appreciated

That is most likely your issue. Mine didn’t get nearly that high and my happier was very unhappy. Just did a large water change today because the high Mg (1600) was stressing my ricordia and leather as well

I dont think it's the mag becuase many member use that treatment. It is almost dead

How is the flow? My hammer was in a higher flow area. Once I changed the direction of the flow it responded right away.

Flow was fairly high before but turned it down becuase my clam hated it ever since I brought it. Might be a good idea to put it closer to the power head

Hey mate, It was it a low flow area for a few weeks it didn't respond at all. It hasn't gotten worse or better. Hopefully it gets better over time
