Had this white stuff growing on one side of my hammer for about 3 weeks anyone know what it could be?

They are spirobid, can confirm as my hammer had some on its base as well. Harmless, had them for the last two
Spirorbid worms. Harmless, tube-building filter-feeders.
Thanks just looks unappealing to look at. Is there anyway to remove them? Or would it be better to just keep them on it.
