Is my hammer coral growing new heads or do hammer corals grow stuff on it’s stems normally?

The pictures very blurry, but they do not usually split like that. Looks like that could be vermatid snails

Safe to say that these small "horn" shaped extensions are new heads forming? There are about 6 or 7 around this existing two headed hammer. Wasn't sure what they were.
