Hammer grew a mouth? Is it splitting?

I feel like this is a noob question but can someone tell me what is happening to my hammer? This mouth looking thing appeared a few days ago.

too up close really to tell. Easy to see if they're splitting when the lights go down though. You'll see it slightly pinch in the middle. Exciting to see the first time for sure!!

Oh yeah thats a mouth. I can only see the one in the picture, though.

Oh, it didn’t have that before or it was much smaller. Hammers have mouths? :oops:

They sure do!! I think im safe to say most LPS corals do.
