hammer needs help

I have never had luck with hammers for 10 years. decided to try again and here we go. was golf ball size one month ago and he just
keeps receding. have done iodine bath 2 weeks ago and still shrinking. moved changed flow and no response. ideas?
alk 9 ca 449 mag 1350 ph 8.3 temp 78 salt 1.026 po3 .5 po4 .88 only parameter high is po4 but been that way for years don,t really
want to let him die... ideas?

Sorry to hear about your hammer coral.

I had some trouble with my hammer a little while ago. I moved him to very low flow zone in the back of my tank, and it seemed to help him.

Hopefully your guy bounces back too. Good luck.
 
Phosphates being .88 could be your issue. I find LPS do well from .03 to .12
Have you tried running GFO to bring them down?
 
Phosphates are too high. It's going to take some time for that high of a level to come down.. so be patient
