Recently I have started to add sps to my Reefer 250, lit by two hydra 26's.
I have upped my light intensity (slowly) by 20%.
As a result, everything in my display looks better. Apart from my hammers. They have definitely grown in size and fluffed out but have also lost color and look a lot paler.
They are in the bottom of the display. My 2 torches, higher up, have never looked better.

That's not really that slow... but they may be a little stressed from the intensity increase. Give them time theyll adjust. Do you dose amines? That may help aswell. Or some direct feedings

I only feed Reef Roids and I have never really try to feed the hammers directly after a couple of attempts over a year ago where they didn't really seem to accept any food.
Strangely, aminos are one of the things that I am thinking of dosing and I was going to see what is available when I next visit my lfs.

Having the same problem with mine and a couple others. My LFS has dosing 1 tsp each of these mixed with a little reef roids..

I also add this about 15 minutes before target feeding..
It triggers a feeding response in corals :)
