Hammers and frogspawn are very closely related, but can have fairly different appearances. There are even "Frammers" which carry characteristics from both. I really like how frogspawn looks with their un-uniform tentacles and spots, but I feel as though you get more color variety with hammers. Do you have a preference for one or the other?

Team hammer for me!

I went from 0 frogspawns to 3 different ones in just a few days 2 weeks ago. 2 were payment for taking pictures for someone, and the other was payment for picking coral up for a friend and delivering it to him.

That said, still love hammers and looking for some more unique ones now to add to my small collection

No preference, I've successfully killed every euphylia I've ever tried 😥 Different tanks etc they just die. Every few years I'll buy a cheap one and try it with the same results. I recently tossed what I think will be my last one.
I had the same luck with Acans for a while, I now have one tank they do well in and it's a 20 bowfront. Same water I use for every tank but they only like the 20 for some odd reason.

It's strange how tanks can have some hidden differences between them. Running multiple tanks I've moved things around when something looks bad an often just sticking it in a different tank brings it back. Even with similar lighting and flow. I have an older pectinia that seems to get tired of a tank after a year or so and start looking bad. I move it to a different tank and it turns around. I think I've probably moved it 4 or 5 times over the years. I gave up trying to figure out why it happens.

I’ve lost quite a few euphyllia, especially at the beginning. Got EEFW before I knew dipping was a thing that took out some. Then rogue peppermint shrimp that ran out of aiptasia took out more. This is probably the hammer I was saddest about losing
