Handling newly shipped corals

I have a lot of new corals coming from assorted online sales this weekend and I want to know how best to take them from shipping container to tank?

Float them first in the bag in your tank to temp acclimate them then place them in a bowl with the water they came in and run a drip line from your tank to the bowl with a slow steady drip. Remove water from the bowl as needed. I usually drip for an hour. When I place them in my tank I leave the lights out for a 3-4 hrs and run them at a lower strength to acclimate them to my light. Most online vendors have acclimation guides and requirements posted on their site and will not honor their warranty if not followed.

Always dip if you can

I dipped and temp acclimated but didn't drip acclimate. All seems well.

I temp acclimate in the bag for about 10 minutes. Then I drip acclimate for about 10 minutes. Then I dip them in Bayer and CoralRx. I dont care if the coral came from my best friend or the most reputable seller in the world. I dip my corals. Not worth what could happen.

Yes, forgot to mention always dip. I don't usually drip acclimate zoas unless they were very expensive. I did not want to suggest that to you and be responsible for any loss. Glad everything seems to have worked out for you.
