I have grown tired of not having a probe holder for the checktemp .... there is no storage on the device for the probe or the 6 ft cord .

I took the spare red cap from a brs super glue bottle and carefully cut out the center sanded it a bit and rubbed with alcohol and lightly sand the check temp and added a dab of glue to adhere . Second I took a Velcro cord organizer cut a small piece and glued to the back , wrapped the cord with the same type of Velcro strap and .... kaboom ! Awesome in 10 min

Couldn't you just use one of them hang on temp sensor?
I use it to calibrate my Apex temperature probes I have one in the sump and one in my 75 gallon fuge . The check temp is a high quality instrument with + or _ 0.5 F degrees of accuracy it is my control .
