Ive battled gha for awhile. Finally invested. Got a hanna checker. 3 times.... 125,120, 124....

Could this be right? My api kit says 0

Yes we need a bit more information to help you.
There are many Hanna checkers what one did you buy?

Also.
Tank age?
Tank volume?
Lighting and curretnt schedule.
What API test reads 0?

Tank 1 year 3 months 55 gall.
Api kit po4
Obviously it was phosphate hanna checker
Lights are 12 hr cycle

I apologize. I did not realize that there are 2 diff kits. I have the phosphorus ulr kit. Apparently in conversion is .033. I guess this is not bad at all

With the data you gave you have an average reading of 123. That comes out to .377, not .033.o_O So yeah, you are a bit on the high side. Decimal points can be a beach, unless of course I'm wrong.

Nope, hit it right on the nose, 0.337 not 0.033!

@Cbray305 don’t be too worried, how do your corals look?

I would certainly want to bring that down but definitely very slowly.

Ok. So again sorry for my cockiness..completely unaware of a phosphorus vs phosphate kit. So yes .33. My zoas look great. My GHA is out of control on my sandbed..

Any LPS or SPS? They are the ones that are generally more sensitive to nutrient levels. If it’s a tank full of Zoas and softies then I wouldn’t worry too much about it, maybe just try to bring it down over the course of a few months
