Hi. I have a 140 gallon DT, about 6 months old. This is my first saltwater tank. Current stock - 2 clowns, foxface, 6 pajama cardinals and an engineer goby. The engineer goby is about 5” long, has been in the tank about 2 months. It is well established within the rock work on the left side of the tank. My question is do you see any problems adding a watchman goby? There is plenty of rock work on the right side of the tank for it to get established should it so desire.

I’m just concerned about it butting heads with the engineer goby. I suspect the watchman would lose that battle.

Any thoughts, alternatives, advice, most welcome!

I had 2 engineers & a yellow watchman in my 150g that coexisted for years without problems. IME the engineers were more mobile and didn’t care about protecting any part of the reef.
