Have left early due to power outage - no one at home to kick on the battery backup I have. Still haven’t got a better solution yet

Called off because my child was sick. And sick it was, a nem had walked into a powerhead and at 4am I walk out my bedroom and see a white tank. My jaw dropped and I INSTANTLY called in like $450 today or crash a $8k system -__- no LFS even opened til like 10am so I had to hit Walmart to get super cheap Walmart pet section ammonia remover just to go out swingin cuz I wasn’t even sure the tank would make it until 10.
@fishguy242 knows what I’m talkin bout Lol

450 a day! man I wish I made half that!

Twice I can remember:

My 360g leaking on a saturday and I tried to seal it the quick way and couldnt stop it and took off til Tuesday

Setting up the 660g. . . . Took off a couple of days to assure the tank was buttoned up and ready for transfer from the 360g

I selected no but I did leave work 2 hours early once, I was basically done with my important stuff, because I woke up that morning to my 125g Cichlid tank being so cloudy you couldn’t see the back of the tank. The filter had stopped working sometime overnight but I wasn’t going to miss all day because of it. Of course by the time I got home the filters issue had resolved itself and the tank was 80% clear. That weekend I took filter apart, cleaned everything and replaced all media (minus bio of course).

Thankfully not because of emergencies but definitely for coral shipments. Luckily I can work from home if needed so I dont know if that technically counts.

yesterday! My sump pump crashed in the AM and I spent a good part of the day searching for another. I live in eastern Europe in a country where there are very few dealers for these things. Found a cheap Chinese return pump yesterday and will order a Sicce asap. The Chinese pump will be a backup. I work from home so didn’t have to call in work, but it bothered me all day that I had to give up a day of work.
