Have you ever gone across a country for a specific animal?

I’m sure we’ve all been in the situation where we want this one specific animal but it’s available halfway across the country.
So, have you ever actually done that trip?

I personally have and it was for this guy 2 years ago.

The reason I did the journey was due to how I love the magnificents and I knew this guy was available (Along with a second smaller specimen). So I figured it was worth the journey and do I still think this? Yes.

Animal in general?
Just this Sordida Via Canis, commonly known as the dirty street dog, who got stuck in Namibia after my sudden evacuation. Had to pick him up from DC.

(also this country is a bit bigger than England; I say that as an ex-brummie)
